He did contact me last month, but it was brief.. We were civil with one another, and I made him laugh a couple of times over the phone. I doubt he would ever ask to hang out with me, so I plan on asking him a couple months down the road. I would love to have a friendly chat with him in person He can make up excuses that he's busy.

I would love to know: -Have you ever asked an ex to hang out and got rejected or ex made up excuses -What activity were you planning on? Coffee date? I am planning on asking him to hang out with me to a park or go to a batting cage. I was planning on asking to hang out with his house and play video games, but people said it was too intimate. What happened? Should I attempt to set another day?

I asked my ex to hang out about 2 and a half weeks ago. She said yes, but wasn't sure when she could do it. She ended up calling me a few days later and setting a day to meet up and have a drink.

On the day we were supposed to meet up she text me and said she was really sick and wondered if we could reschedule. Obviously I said yes, though i don't believe she was sick. It was over 2 weeks and she never called to reschedule. I had to meet with her anyway to give her money I owed her and was going to send it in the mail, but she suggested we meet in town to do it. I agreed and she said we could have a drink and she could get the money then.

So even though I am meeting her on Monday and she agreed to hang out more than once, I feel as if I was actually rejected.

We'll have to see. I'll report back monday hopefully with some cheery news! Originally Posted by cherryberry Originally Posted by uncomfynumb. Why not wait and let him ask you out? After all, he kicked you to the curb, he should be the one to pick up and bring you back right?

Please don't chase this man. It is so unbecoming of a woman. A while back I asked my ex if he and his friend would go see a movie with me a movie I knew his friend wanted to see.

It would have been the first time we saw each other since the break-up which was two months before. He said no and didn't even make up an excuse.

I was surprised since we talked everyday and thought we had kind of developed a friendship. I was embarrassed D: Eventually we did hang out, just the two of us, and it led to sex. It turned into a 7 month pseudo relationship of emotional distress, and I deeply regret letting it go on for that long. If he rejects you, don't try to set it up for another day. He will know you want to see him, so if he wants to see you, he should have no problem setting up plans for later.

I just got out of a 7 month long post-break-up psuedo relationship too! Good riddens, right?! I guess I just have this fear that he would never ask. Is there a rule on who should ask to hang out first? I know many people say the dumper should contact first which he did , but I'm not sure who sets the actual meeting. Originally Posted by tattoobunnie. I am planning on only asking to hang out after my feelings have subsided.

I don't want to get hurt again, if let's say he rejects my offer to hang out. I would love to be able to pursue a friendship with him. I really want him to remain in my life. If reconciliation were to happen, it would be a totally different relationship from the previous. Our feelings would have to redevelop on both ends. I just want to move on, and start a clean slate with him.

He broke up with me for good reasons, I can't blame him. It was my fault. I don't need him to be chasing me if I just want friendship, do I? I also asked him a while back if we can hang out after I heal, and he agreed we can. I don't know if he even remembers that.. He is really passive and kinda naive with this relationship thing. I was kinda his first relationship. I don't think he would know whats right or wrong, and what is appropriate ex actions. He couldn't even ask me out at the beginning, I only found out through a friend that he liked me Last Jump to page:.
