giffgaff PAC Code: Keep Your Number When Changing Networks
Bringing your number to Three is easy. A PAC is for keeping your number and bringing it to Three, so you wont lose those digits you're so fond of. We'll also let your previous provider know to close your account, but it's their responsibility to close it once we've notified them. A PAC only lasts 30 days, so after it expires, you'll have to request another one. We can't check when your PAC was generated, but your previous provider can, so get in touch with them if you need to jog your memory.
The process might be different across different providers if you're using any online processes, so we've got some handy links below for you to check out different core providers.
Once you've got your PAC, all you need to do is fill out our Bring my number to Three Form or log into My3, and let us know all the useful information. Then, we'll take care of everything. Once you've given us your PAC, you can continue using your phone as normal, although you might notice a small lapse in service during the transition period if you're bringing your number with you.
Your previous provider will cancel your service within 24 hours, so if you're not bringing your number with you, that's when that number will stop working. When you bring your number over, all your new bills generated afterwards will show this number, but your previous bills will show your original Three number.
Otherwise, your bills won't change and will continue displaying your Three number. Your login for My3 will automatically update with your new number, so you can use that to log in. If you haven't registered, you'll need to use your Three number or the number you've brought with you to access all of it's useful resources.
If you want to switch your number, we'll aim to handle this on the next working day unless you let us know otherwise. You can also delay your number switch if you need to.
You can let us know a preferred date, within 30 days of your PAC expiring. Bank holidays will act as weekends do, so our system will use the next available day instead. A STAC is for leaving your number with your previous provider and ending your contract with them.
We'll also let your old provider know to close your account, but it's their responsibility to close it once we've notified them. A STAC only lasts 30 days, so after it expires, you'll have to request another one. We can't check when your STAC was generated, but your previous provider can, so get in touch with them if you need to jog your memory. The process might be different across different providers if you're using any online processes, so we've got some handy links below for you to check our different core providers.
Once you've got a STAC, all you need to do is fill out our Leave my number behind form or log into My3, and let us know all the useful information. Then we'll take care of everything. Back to Switch to Three.

Giffgaff Contact Number
I am posting this solely as assistance for anyone trying to figure out how to get GiffGaff working on their US phone. I will be travelling to the UK in May, and decided I wanted my iphone capable of using cellular data, not just wifi. Additionally, I wanted to do it inexpensively, and I wanted it set up ahead of time so I didn't have to mess with it when I got to the UK. After some research, I decided to go with GiffGaff. The prices were right, and the reviews were good. I had already gotten my phone unlocked. That's a process not covered here. You'll need to check with your own provider. Some googling will turn them up. This is kind of a win-win situation.
Transferring your mobile number to a new phone
We will text you when the number transfer has started and you'll receive another message when the transfer is complete. Get your PAC code. Call your previous mobile provider and ask for it. As long as the number is still active then they will be able to generate your PAC code. If your number is no longer active, your previous provider may allow you to reconnect for a short time in order to provide you with your PAC code but this would be at their discretion.
Your current provider will reply by text within a minute. Their reply must also include important information about any early termination charges or pay-as-you-go credit balances. This new process is designed to be quick and easy, so you could request your PAC while looking for a new deal — for example, while browsing for a new phone on our website, or in store.

Contact Giffgaff customer services by sending an online message to their community agents where you can discuss a goodybag top-up, change your mobile number and to buy a non-contract smartphone. Contact Giffgaff customer services by raising an agent support ticket via their community website as they currently do not offer a telephone number for verbal enquiries. You can use this platform to top-up your mobile phone credit and similarly to add additional data allowance to your current goodybag package.
The good news is you can avoid all that hassle by transferring your existing number to your new phone. This is called porting your mobile number. To keep your mobile number and transfer it to another network, you need to request what's called a Porting Authorisation Code PAC from your old provider and then let your new provider know the code. They will then schedule the switch. Haven't chosen a handset yet?
